Akira sends a text off to the Phantom theif group chat to come over to his house because the olive troll has something important to say

"Well. That's done with." Hellboy puffs, laying back on his chair. "...any word on anything to do yet, or am I just gonna become an alcoholic?"

Haru knocks on the door to Akira's apartment. "Hey, I got your text."

Ryuki gets moving, tripping over his bag, mutters, before getting up and moving.
Darkrai (?) descends into shadows...

"Alright guys, we’ve got a text." Vanitas says from where he was lounging. "We’re heading to Akira's."

"Cool we've got at least one member can you give us a hint about what's so important?" Futaba gets a "no" as an answer as they wait for everyone else.

Vanitas, Ventus, and Xion are the next three to arrive.

Sora is with Vanitas, Ventus, and Xion, so that makes 4.

Ryuki stumbles into the room through the door. "Ow," he mutters as he faceplants. "I had to, uh. Run a few blocks."

"Yeah, we just corridored here."  Vanitas shrugged.

"Not yet, but if the rumors I've heard are true, we stumbled on a BRPD diamond mine if they'll let us operate here. We don't even have to go covert, they're just *used* to iy... "

Edge feels weird. Like something's changed. He can't put his finger on it though.

Somewhere on the PotD, a portal opens and two women fall out, one entirely covered in rags and wrapping, where only a single green eye is visible, and the other, a woman with dark hair and dark skin falls out, wearing a filter like mask on her face.

No, it has one eye. And hands and feet. And a pair of headphones blasting music. And a Monster energy drink it seems.

"Dude, where did you even get that Monster?" The human girl asks.

"Bandit fridge."

"Nice." Rogue nods.

Out of nowhere the giant black crystal that Spacegodzilla had created recently started to change color to a somewhat clear color resembling that of gelatin. Nearly all of it was made up of cosmic and geothermal energy, taken from the potd itself, with a small percentage of void mixed in for good measure. Right after the crystal changed color a voice emanated from it. This could be heard for miles around the planet, the crystal itself can be seen from space. What did the voice even say? Well it went something like this...

"Adventurers! Tune your ears to my voice only! Do you want to bathe yourself in riches? Do you want to make your enemies kneel before you? Do you want to be a force to reckoned with? Join me on my quest to hunt down the relics of this Omniverse! From dimension to dimension we'll go aground gaining more power with each artifact we take! My name is Nightmare and I'm waiting at the very base of this crystal! Come here and accompany me before the law comes here to slow us down! With our power combined we can crush all that try and stop us!"

And with that the message ends and the crystal returns to its pitch black color with the clear gelatin color fading away.

A certain Gordon Freeman was busy roaming the streets, looking for someone to leech money off of. He was about a mile out from the crystal, and clearly heard the announcement.

"Space pirates. Space pirates. SPACE PIRATES." He kept a clear view on the crystal as he immediately started running.

This was everything he could ever want. Power? Some stupid gimmicky weapons from Black Mesa weren't enough, although the Ghostbusters one was pretty damn cool. He wanted people bowing to his feet. He WAS destined for greatness, after all. How COULDN'T he be? He had hundreds of people back home willing to kill themselves in his name. Riches? Hey, drug money is any money. A lifetime supply of morphine never hurt anyone. Maybe he could use it to fund his "take over the world" plan. He always aspired to be some kind of president or leader. He even had his own government full planned out. Morphinic Democracy, where all of society was dependent on morphine to think rationally. If people were bad, just take the morphine away and let the mind do the rest. Couldn't go wrong. And with money and power? Shit, he could become a leading superpower in a few days if he really tried.

Mithrax is also wandering and he witnesses the message, promptly taking off in that direction.

The first person to arrive at the crystal is a cerulean troll on hover boots. She looks around while playing with her dice.

Those Phantom kids could deal with the low luck, that kid in white left too quickly to have his luck drained though, damn

Okay I'm assuming all the people who Akira contacted have arrived because I'm done waiting for confirmation.

Nepeta unrolls the newspaper, allowing the group to see the front cover. ":33 < terezi had this sent to me. :33 < it's from this morning, and judging from the wording this event happened yesterday evening." As she holds up the paper, the group would be able to see the headline and the image below it. PRIME MINISTER CANDIDATE MASAYOSHI SHIDO FOUND DEAD OF MENTAL SHUTDOWN. The image itself is a rather candid shot of the scene, and the man's corpse can be seen. Even in the black and white photo it's very clear that he's suffered a mental shutdown.

Futaba turns away, looking sickened and shocked as Nepeta continues. ":33 < terezi wanted me to warn you all about this before it hits the news here. :33 < there's been rumours of a calling card and the public seems to think this is another, as the news is putting it, 'okumura incident', but the police haven't confirmed or denied anything. :33 < the public wants akechi goro to give his opinion but he said earlier this week that he needed to focus on school and work more to 'catch the culprit and stop them before anyone else gets hurt.' :33 < no one's been able to find him and the public is fearing that he was also a target and is now dead." Nepeta sets the paper down, allowing anyone to grab the article if they want to. ":33 < terezi refuses to confirm or deny whether akechi is also dead and currently no one's been able to get in contact with him. the public back on most of yours world thinks something's happened to him, they think shido is dead because of the thieves and the police force on the world refuses to say anything at the moment. :33 < they have no suspect, and i know you all are thinking he did it but i'm also here to ask you to not assume that he's guilty while we've got next to no evidence. :33 < he's scared enough of the guy to not pull such a brash move, or at the very least clean up any evidence that it was a shutdown. :33 < he's got just as much as a target on his back now as you all do, but the people aiming at his target know who he really is, and i doubt he's stupid enough to not take precautions like destroying evidence of it being a shutdown." Nepeta doesn't directly say what she's proposing, but to anyone with half a brain and some knowledge on the subject it'd be clear she's suggesting that there might be another Metaverse user running around trying to wreak havoc.

"You think there’s someone else out there." Vanitas nodded.

"Could it be that one Persona user that attacked us outside of that pizza place?" Xion suggested.
