FC part 210 part 2

Joker is quiet for a second, letting the fact that the one dude who could clear his record is now dead sink in, before speaking "It could be, but we don't know what they wanted. This may just be because the guy tried to kill me and definitely had a thing against Shido, but I can't shake the feeling that Akechi is someahat involved. Maybe not the guy who triggered the shutdown, but somehow apart of it."

Jesus awaits a response from Frank regarding the proposed usage of his Ford Fusion to potentially travel away from wherever they are

The news greatly confuses Sojiro once he sees it. Didn't he.. . Already get dealt with? And PRIME MINISTER?!

"He could also be a corpse though. Do you really think he'd go and die after getting his ultimate victory?" Futaba brings up the fact that dying seems like an unlikely choice Akechi would make before he could gloat to the Thieves about killing Shido.

And one text is shot.
"Hey, didn't you already handle this bastard? Why is he dead, and more importantly why was he still a candidate?!"

"From what little time I’ve been near him, no."  Vanitas agreed with Futaba.

Nightmare quickly scanned to see who he had successfully showed up so far. Only 3. Some teen with gray skin, a bug, and some kinda rat with no fur and a purple tail. Not enough.

And a late arrival. A young, lanky green skeleton man.

Mithrax has arrived as well.

Gordon turns up as one of the late arrivals, carrying like 20 different weapons.

"Always wanted to be a pirate."

"PIRATES ARE LAME. BE COOL LIKE ME AND ASPIRE TO OMNICIDE."

"Boring. Omnicide means you don't get the Morphinic Democracy funding."

"DEMOCRACY? WHAT ARE YOU. SOME SORT OF SUB-MAN WHO WON'T TAKE ALL THE POWER FOR HIMSELF?"

"You ever hear of a deceptive label, pumpkin? It's so I don't get invaded."

Nightmare gets company. A portal opens nearby and strange green machines come out. They look like orbs, floating off the ground, with spotlight eyes.

Okay last time we say Mordred he had told a servant to help him and that servant was coming in to attack, either him or the crown puppeteering him.

TNK is headed to the POTD still.

He checks the group one more time. Yup, this was a good amount for the raids. Their bickering already god fucking damn it.

"Keep arguing and the only thing you'll get is a tomb!" Nightmare yells at the two, hoping that he had their attention for what he had to say next.

"Now that a fair amount of you meager creatures are here we can start this quest."
Nightmare raises Soul Edge as if it was a torch. The demon walked forward, as he did so the sword cut open a tear in the dimension itself as he kept walking. Eventually the cut was about 6 meters long in diameter and had unfurled to the ground so the group could enter. Beyond the portal visible to the group lay a cavern with embers floating around walls of rock that are charcoal black. Some of the black rocks glow red with lava dripping from them. Obviously its super hot in there. At the end of the cavern was an indent in the ground where a orange rock was just sitting there. Ripe for the taking.

Nightmare stepped through the rift, his dark azure armored boots making a soft crunching sound as they touched the black rock on the other side. The rift started to close, better get through it slow pokes.

Vriska is keeping pace with Nightmare.

Mn is running calculations and doing math on the "making things appear when we shouldn't be able to" to try and make it more stable. Would definitely be cooler then tapping into whatever the fuck powered the portals.

For anyone perceptive to time effects, it stops as Caliborn walks through. And resumes when he is through.
Dick, won't carry his allies?

Gordon walked through, grumbling about how he wasn't the one who started it.

Mithrax stepped through the rift.

The machines zip through.

"Maybe it's... like, Akechi gave him access or something? Because you guys told me he knows Shido or something? But. You know, uh... yeeah, I got nothing." Ryuji scratches the back of his head.

":33 < so shido is dead, akechi knew him more than he let on to shido, and now akechi himself might be dead. :33 < and we have no idea what's really true or not other than shido is now a corpse, and hell knows where he actually is."

"Well, I had been tracking Akechi's phone but, it may or may not have disappeared last night." Futaba means that it has, she just doesn't want to say it directly because then she's the bearer of extra bad news.

"Well, that's just terrific." Vanitas grumbled.

"Where was it before it disappeared?" Haru asks, curiously.
