The resulting creature, made from the planet itself, and larger than the minotaurs, swiped its arm at some of the Vex.

Well, that was bad. Very bad for her chances of survival.
Fight or flight... clearly flight was the only option remaining, though the ship was likely damaged from the crash landing.
She was all out of ideas now.

Well, that was surprisingly effective against the Vex. Most of them were destroyed upon being hit. Ouch.

HK leans over to look out as the giant creature slams down it's fist on another Vex unit. "Statement: Well, this is interesting..."

The Photometric Mind let out a few beeps before pelting the giant creature with red laser blasts.

Osoro is also watching this go down, but not commentating or really reacting on the outside at all.
On the inside, however, her fear rises once more.
She regrets deciding to leave her planet behind to suffer the Astral Infection, but what can she do about it now?!

Jim Sterling is also watching something else go down, and not commenting because he's in fear, and regretting leaving the Underground...
Wait.
What was happening down there?
Was it safe from this Astral Infection stuff?!
Quickly thinking, he started his journey back to the Underground in a hurry, not wanting them to suffer the same fate as the people of this now doomed city.

Stumbling backwards(and with bits of it blown off), the creature retaliates by clapping it's hands on the Photometric mind.

Well the last Vex is dead. Oof.

Well, if that's the case, the creature looks toward the crashed ship. It shows no signs of hostile intentions.

Osoro finds out that the Vex are gone, and looks at the creature that isn't hostile, also not showing any signs of hostility.
Her face speaks more of "I just wanna go home, but my home got invaded... twice."
Though the thought remains in her mind for now.

After a few minutes, the creature soon crumbles apart, returning to the ground it was created from.

"Observation: Well that just... happened." HK says, before cautiously leaving the ship, ready to shoot any Vex that managed to escaped from the creature.

All the Vex in the area had been destroyed.

Meanwhile, near the giant sphere where the signal originates, a metallic object drifts aimlessly by, no power or purpose. It's shape is that of a robotic humanoid hedgehog, with colorations of blue, yellow and silver. How it ended up in this situation, or why it's in space in the first place is unknown.

Inside the robot, it's internals are on overdrive, trying to keep the robot still alive and hopefully running. Molten metal, leaks from its faceplates.

The machine is activated by the vast sphere.

As energy begins to flow through it's circuits once more, it's eye screen flickers to life, with two red circles resembling eyes appearing on the screen.

Metal Sonic has awakened.

Scanning the new entity's memories, the Architect learns that it at the very least once tried to take over it's homeworld and rebel against it's creator.

It orders the machine to do so again: return to Mobius, roboticize everything, await further orders.

Metal Sonic accepts these orders, turning on it's boosters and flying in the approximate direction of Mobius.

HK, after making sure all the Vex are dead, looks around. "Statement: We better check the area. You'll never know what dangerous things are lurking around a place like this."

Osoro nodded in agreement.
After all, not all the creatures here were sure to be like that one before.
It was also possible that there would be a Space Virus like that giant enemy spider robot had been spreading.
It was a new world entirely, so there were endless possibilities as to what was here, what could happen to them, what was possible.
And she was sure as hell not ready for the worst of said possibilities.
However, if she were to die, she would die fighting.
She didn't think of herself as a hero, more of a coward, but now she had nothing to fear.
Nothing left to lose, except her own life. Not that that was worth that much now.

With that annoying man in that suit out of the way, Aureus could easily take over this city.
But... it was curious. Just where was he going, anyway?
It sent some Astral Probes to follow him. It kept track of these things, just in case.
Such a shame that escaped dropship and those orbiting ships above were out of its reach.

Of course, Jim Sterling was headed back to the Underground to defend it.
A noble gesture, but a foolish one too.
But he would not give up.
His SOUL shone with heroic intent as he unwittingly lead the Astral Probe right in the Underground's direction.

The obvious best place to start looking for potential enemies was where the seemingly-neutral creature had been.
So Osoro went over there, and looked around.
Looking for anything that gave even the slightest hint of life on this planet.
And that creature from before, having crumbled into the ground as if it was part of the ground...
She considered the possibility that the planet itself was alive.
But...
...
Doing something is better than doing nothing, at least most of the time.
And this was a time to do something.

HK was also investigating the area, before he noticed something large within the trees, too... metallic to be natural. "Statement: I think I see something." He stated as he began to slowly approach the large object.

Hearing this, Osoro also goes over to approach the large object, also taking as much care as possible not to make any sudden movements or do anything cliche that signals jumpscares to happen.
Not that she'd get scared, just that the source of the jumpscare would be an unknown possible threat.
She carefully and slowly approached the odd metallic "something".
