The Struggle of Our Souls (Indivisible-focused Crossover RP)

16 years ago, the world began to shift beneath people's feet.

The weather became wild and chaotic, the seas raged like angry gods, people were cast out from their homes...it was the signals of the end times. A great evil had risen, and was ready to wipe the world out and start again with a clean slate.

But then, four heroes from the corners of the island continent Loka got together, each wildly different in their own ways, and made their way up the mysterious Mount Sumeru, where a mighty weapon from ages forgotten was able to seal the foul being away. The world had been saved from imminent destruction.

Now, things are preparing to shift once more.

An imperialistic princess stands tall, plotting to cement her kingdom's dominance over the world.

Impurity runs as rampant as the electric current in a bustling city, bowing to the whims of a green-toothed smile.

A demon king high above the clouds prepares to enact a plan seeded for over a decade, while his soldiers wreak havoc on the world below.

And in the midst of all of this, a village girl marches forward with a lieutenant brought against his will (and her own will, really), seeking vengeance on the man who ordered the death of her father without a clue as to her greater destiny...

oh and then there's some other people here who have no idea what's going on

Rules:

Quick Overview of Loka

Okay, so - six locations your character can start in; lemme just go over them all real quick:

Ashwat: A region consisting mostly of forest and ruins with small villages scattered inbetween. These villages all have different names, but people generally refer to them collectively as Ashwat, after the largest village there. Said largest village is also currently on fire and being raided by soldiers, with other villages also being subject to raids.

Almutah Desert: A large expanse of sand with large scattered ruins inbetween. There's a few travelers here and there, various mutated animals such as giant worms, and the aforementioned ruins, but no real society - although, there's been rumors of a lady in blue who helps the weak and weary, curing them of what ails with magical water...no real solid claims as to seeing her, though.

Port Maerifa: Called the "Gate to the World" and home to the Tower of Wisdom, the streets here are populated with various merchants and artists selling their wares, and is a relatively peaceful place...save for the recent Iron Kingdom blockade keeping anyone from getting in or out. All for protection, of course.

The Iron Kingdom: Or really, their capital, as their territory has since gone beyond the region of Loka they claim, but that's not important. It is by far the most technologically advanced and industrial area of Loka, with robots casually scattered around the area, automating things and making life easier (if at a cost, that being leaving less jobs for the people to take). Soldiers also patrol the streets vigilantly, and there's also an occasional tank here and there. For protection! Just...mind the slime. No one knows where it's coming from, no one who might know is making any comment on it, and no one really wants to know.

Tai Krung: A large city, running just behind the Iron Kingdom in terms of technological advancement, and thriving, with a particularly noticeable night life and tourism industry. It also has a massive addiction problem in the form of Ohma: a ceremonial drink traditionally taken by monks in small amounts to further their connection to the gods, but when used by the inexperienced, in large doses, or both, can become addictive and warp the body. While there was a bit of an issue before, it's now exploded thanks to the machinations of Mara, an Asura who knows how to mass-produce it and has the means and manpower to do so, with the muscle to take care of those who'd try and stop him. Some say that the addicts can outnumber the healthy, now.

Kaanul: The people of Kaanul are traditionally known to be secretive, with their city being hidden by a large forest populated with monsters, having successfully created a self-sufficient agricultural system, and the people having access to a large series of interconnected underground caves that they've done some stonework in, which means they can act as bunkers if necessary. While they can be a bit wary of outsiders, they're usually not outright hostile save for very grave circumstances.

Somewhere within a tranquil forest, thick black smoke blocks out the sky like a smothering blanket.

Flame sweeps over wooden huts and buildings, with most of them having already collapsed because of the burning red and orange sea. Human soldiers in golden armor stalk the streets laden with the dead, with several going through collapsed houses and dragging out anything valuable that's still intact, and all the while, giant, green hog-like humanoids with bulging eyes, gleaming white tusks, and two large swords watch over the burning village.

"Where's the lieutenant?"

One of the human soldiers turn his head to see another soldier running up to him.

"Well, I wouldn't know; I was in the back - why do you ask?" The soldier asks in return.

"No one's been able to track down where he is for the past half-hour. It's like he disappeared off the face of the earth..." The other soldier explains.

"...did he eliminate the chief of this village?" The soldier questions.

"Definitely - one of our own got to see him deal the killing blow. No way the old man could survive that." The other soldier replies in turn.

"Then I say we don't worry about it." The soldier turns away. "We're all going to come back to Vimana one way or another, we can ask him there. In the meantime, we're about done here - see if there's any hidden stragglers, finish pulling out anything of worth, then we join up with the men patrolling the main paths to catch any runners."

As he speaks, one of the hog creatures suddenly perks up, snout sniffing as it lumbers over to a pile of rubble and leans down, a wild red and yellow eye staring down into a small hole in the wreckage to see a crouching, terrified woman in an indigo dress hidden beneath it all.

With a savage grin, the hog creature stands back up, raising a sword up high...

Elsewhere, in a large expanse of sand west of the destruction, a woman in a flowing, light blue and gold dress and black hair done up in an odd ponytail (which seems oddly wet) ambles along among the grains, eyes scanning the tan hills and leaving nothing untouched.

Logically speaking, she knows no one's out here right now, she would be able to feel them if that was the case. But it helps to distract from the burning in the back of her mind, the churning mix of fear, despair, and pain boiling away elsewhere that she wishes she could calm and heal, but knows she can't. It's too far away; by the time she got there, the destruction would already be done.

So she can let herself wander the sands for a little while.

Yet even further west, a blonde woman in a blue minidress and a white apron hums a happy tune to herself, cleaning out a cloudy, dirty glass with an off-white rag covered in bubbles.

She looks behind herself to see a small but lively crowd, and a content smile crosses her face.

This? This is the life. If the whole wide world were to open up and swallow everyone whole, she wouldn't mind one bit as long as her little bar stayed intact.

...though she could do with some more income.

As that thought crosses her mind, her mood shifts more to annoyance, and she glances down at the streets below, eyeing a man clad in gray and silver. Almost subconsciously, her hand lets go of the rag and drifts elsewhere, taking hold of a little something strapped to her leg. She can see the gap between the helmet and shoulderpads, barely visible to most. Maybe, if no one's looking, she could...

She shakes her head, hand going back to the rag. As annoyed as she is with the Iron Kingdom, she's not stupid enough to bring down their forces on her. Besides, she's kept her hands clean for years (mostly), and she's not going to ruin that now.

...also, more practically speaking, her knife isn't thin enough to slip through that gap to begin with.

And yet farther still to the west, a pungent smell of coal and chemicals fills the air, and a great many people walk along a cobblestone road, casually talking to each other while ignoring the armor-clad men gazing over the crowds, guns close to their chests. In the shops, the people relay their orders to mechanical cashiers, and those less fortunate stare through the windows in envy, pulling their ragged clothes closer together.

And in deep, dark crevices no one wants to acknowledge, an odd purple substance drips down, coating the walls and floor.

Cutting back to the east - even further east than everywhere else - a bustling city thrives, with cafes, restaurants, and clubs enjoying a rather large crowd as the low hum of electricity fills the air, generators spinning vigilantly along the wires to keep the lifeblood of the city flowing.

Rather pleasant as long as you ignore the darker, less developed areas, where warped caricatures of humans aimlessly clump around, bulging eyes zipping from one place to the next as they either lie in wait or gather around in a close circle, popping open a glass bottle with some kind of mysterious pink liquid...

But back to the west, another deeper, more wild forest lays, the perfect place to hide.

And in the center of that forest, a girl with hair that resembles a squash for whatever reason cheerfully strolls along a road of yellow bricks, waving to her fellow citizens as she heads off to...nowhere in particular, really. Doesn't really have any plans for the day.

And back to the forest we started in, another girl with a headdress of red beads and a determined gleam in her eye runs through some ruins, only to be promptly interrupted by the floor crumbling beneath her.

She lets out a cry of surprise, but lands safely, and after brushing herself off, she looks around, scanning the whole area as she looks for something. Then she groans in frustration, looking forward with a rather annoyed look on her face.

"Well, I've lost their trail. Where do we go now, murderer?" She asks, venom in her glare...even though she's not looking at anyone.

Who is she talking to, even?

Amidst all the chaos in the soon to be destroyed village of Ashwat...Suddenly appeared a ninja in samurai armor with a wooden right arm and mask, a Katana being held in the wooden arm. Seemed like the guy was in fucking purple pajamas for some reason. Despite the odd attire the man got up with a shocked expression hidden behind his mask as his tried to process the destruction around him.

"What on Earth...! Whose the bastard responsible for this destruction?!" He twisted his head in the direction of shouting and noticed soldiers torching the place while villagers fled in terror. With a roar of rage he charged toward a solider from behind and decapitated him with one arc.

Shortly after he prepared to strike another solider that was processing what had just happened to his comrade.

That's another head rolling on the ground.

"No need to fear people! For it is I, Yoshimitsu! None of these subhuman scum will lay a finger on you as long as I'm here!"


Crawling through one of the several of underground tunnels in Kaanul was a knight clad in shining azure armor. Again, like the ninja his right arm was also "missing" and replaced with a deformed monster claw. Yeeeeech. In his left hand he carried a nasty looking butter knife that looked like it could kill someone. It was partially red and fleshy with a small yellow eyeball found in the center of the blade.

The azure knight held his head up close to the knife before coughing and wheezing uncontrollable. Hanging onto the knife for dear life as if he would die without the thing.

"Sword...Bear with me through the endeavor..." The knight croaked weakly.


Among all of the bustling life and trading going on at Port Maerifa there is a scary amount of confusion radiating off of one teen. Nothing wrong with his right arm, phew. Everything about him screamed odd. His hair was the most obvious red flag. The guy had donuts in his blonde hair c'mon. Then his clothing which was actually pretty slick until the big heart opening. Shoes were fine.

Suddenly the teen tapped the blue minidress lady on the shoulder, tossing away his confused look so he didn't look weak.

"Excuse me, but would you happen to know where this is? I got lost trying to travel back home..." Giorno lied through his teeth. Sure he didn't doubt the wealth of people here but there intelligence was another story according to Giorno.

Hmm, sounds like there's someone else in those ruins, if the sound of a sword dragging on the ground is any indication.

"Where am I...?" A feminine voice asked, near the headdress girl.

Meanwhile, another person has ended up at Port Maerifa. She had dark-skin and wore dark green clothing. Her hair was covered by a large sun hat. "Okay...this is not New Meridian." The girl murmurs.

In the desert along the path of the girl with the wet ponytail lies another girl, this one with blue hair and and a white dress. She appears to be lost.

The girl gets a response from.. something in her mind.
"My name is Dhar. Use it. And I know my troops. They'll stick to the main paths, and you're no match for them on your own. If you mean to get to-"
Their talk is cut off by a yell coming from...
"The jungle. What dares to make so much noise?"

Currently perched on the oriental temple-like roof of a tower is a large, armored, bird-like creature, with long, thick arms and covered in golden armor. The armor itself twists around the neck in two parts, like an ever-moving gear.
Garuda Cruel is looking over Mara's territory.

Somebody wearing a blue wetsuit styled like it has coattails, a golden anchor pendant around his neck, and a blue bandana with some sort of letter on it has also appeared at the port- and he's fit right in, despite being not from here. Currently, he's haggling another sailor for diections.

Yellow code screams as it froms a blue and yellow creature in the sky of the iron Kingdom, and who falls onto a tank. Not a soft landing. "Aw, my PIPES!" it groans, reerring to the four pipes on his back that are of moderate length. Each pair has a sonther smaller pipe that connects them horizontally in the middle.

And again in the desert....
Someone wearing bloodied clothes that are too white and too heavy to last long wakes up, a receding pillar of light obscuring him.

The villagers that remain look at Yoshimitsu with surprise and hope.

"What the-who is that!? How'd he get here!?" One of the soldiers yells, holding his sword at the ready.

"Doesn't matter. Subdue him!" Another orders, shifting his attention elsewhere.

The hog creature raising its sword pauses, turns its head, and then promptly starts rolling towards Yoshimitsu, with another of its kind quickly joining it. As they draw closer, one of them leaps into the air, and the other stands up and swings its sword in a wide arc.

"Dunno - something to beat up later, probably. Now, shut up for a moment," Headdress girl starts to turn. "I thought I heard someone. And who knows! Maybe it's someone your soldiers didn't ki..."

She trails off as she sees the person in question.

"Or it could be someone I've never seen before in my life. Well, still better company than you." Headdress girl remarks to the thing in her mind, before moving to the source of the feminine voice. "Hey, are you okay?"

The woman in the desert snaps to attention as she suddenly senses the two newcomers to the desert. "What in the world...?"

She looks at the blue-haired girl in a white dress in the distance...before turning and heading in the direction of the man with bloodied clothes.

She'll get to her later, but right now? Priorities.

The blonde in the minidress promptly whips around to face Giorno as soon as he taps her on the shoulder, and for a second, she looks like she's about ready to stab a bitch, hand going for her leg...up until she actually gets a good look at who's talking to, at which point her expression shifts to confusion. After he finishes talking, she lets out a little laugh, cheery mood restored.

"Oh, is that all? Sorry, you startled me there...but if you want to head home, all you have to do is-" And then she stops talking, eyes loosing a bit of their cheer. "...ah, right. I forgot for a moment, there. How long have you been away from home?"

The yellow and blue creature can hear the cocking of guns.

If he were to look down from the tank, he would see four soldiers surrounding the tank he landed on, each aiming some kind of rifle at the thing.

The azure knight can hear something in the distance.

It sounds like...the flapping of wings?

Maybe a large bird got in here or something.

"I’m fine." The woman states, leaning against the wall. Looks like she’s been through hell if all the wounds on her say anything. Her skin is a deathly pale color and her eyes are covered by the helmet over her eyes. Her mouth is definitely not like a human, especially if the fangs she has have anything to do about it. And wow that is a big sword, almost the woman's height. "Where am I?"

It’s at this time that the blue-haired woman also notices the the bloody man and she quickly rushes over to help.

Yoshimitsu swings his katana to meet the sword in a clash of steel. Right after the clash he rolls to the left before twirling his blade like it was a helicopter blade. Believe it or not he actually starts to fly in the air while still twirling the blade.

"Pigs?! I'll fashion you into a kebab over a spitfire and pour sweet sauce over you while I smack my lips in anticipation!"


Yoshimitsu stops the motion and drives his blade into the back of the very same pig who had swung at him while falling through the air, impaling the pig through the gut. He pulled the blade out right after that.

"Just about an hou- Before Giorno can finish suddenly a cannonball whizzed right by his head and smashed through a poor stand that was probably selling something tasty. Giorno whips his head around to see a massive pirate ship that just suddenly appeared in the water, the source of the cannonball obviously. Disbelief and even more confusion flushed over his face as he tried to make sense of what was going on yet again.

Let's see whats going on aboard the ship shall we? Oh wait we need to know what the ship is actually like first. Now take Queen Anne's Revenge...But triple the size, cannons, crew members, parrots, and disease with more riches then you could hope to count. That there is the joy and pride of the notorious pirate lord Cervantes de León. Otherwise known as just Cervantes. Now back to whats going on.

Ruffians and sailors are milling about the place, manning there appropriate positions at the ship. Most of them were confused but beginning to connect the dots. Now they could see why they were laying siege to the port, she's

-a real beauty ain't she? That's why we're gutting her stomach wide open and letting her guts spill right into our pockets!" Cervantes roared.

"I want those harpoons tarred and lit aflame before they're launched! No prisoners allowed! Every last drop of gold is ours!"

Que more cannons that fire onto the port.

The azure knight limps over to where the sound came from with eagerness.

His hopes become true as he lays his eyes on the...Bird.

"Yes...YES! Let me feast upon your weak soul fowl!" Nightmare yells before he plunges the knife into the birds chest with surprising speed for someone in such a weak state.

Fukua, who was also in the port, looked at the pirate ship. "No rest for the wicked." She mutters as her hat was destroyed as her hair burst out of it. It....it has a face. The hair has a face.

The Motors Bugster looks up. "Oh, seriously? I'm finally a complete being, and this happens? You humans can eat my dust!"
In a small burst of orange code, Motors summons his bike, the Motors Viper. The Viper itself looks like a normal bike, but it has a weird, orange fish-head thing with whiskers where the handlebars connect. Climbing on, Motors revs the engine and drives forward, driving off the tank and over them. But, these poor soldiers; the pipes on his shoulders fire bombs behind him as he drives off.

"WHAT IN THE DARN- HEY!" Archie roars at the shop. "WOT DO YOU THINK YER DOIN, HAH?! YOU WANT A PIECE OF ARCHIE?!"

The source of the yell has wandered into the jungle.

(hmm.... Guzma, and for desert gang, I will request el Driblee)

The impaled hog stumbles forward, falling on one knee before catching itself by stabbing a sword into the ground...

Then it turns around and lets out a twisted, squealish roar.

Oh god, it's still living - barely, but still living.

He should-

...wait. Why is everything suddenly getting darker?

If Yoshimitsu were to look up, he would see the other hog creature doing a belly flop, aiming to land right on top of him.

Now would be a good time to mention that the hog creatures also have armor. Not a full set like the human soldiers, mind you, only for the shoulders. And the entire front of the torso.

This could hurt a bit.

"Oh, you're in Ashwat! Or just a bit outside it, anyway." Headdress girl answers. "Normally I'd suggest you go to the village, but it's currently on fire right now, so...not the best idea. I think there's another village just south of here? Yeah, that sounds right. That one shouldn't be on fire. Unless someone wants to speak up..."

"Get down!" The bartender grabs Giorno and pulls him behind the bar, showing surprising strength as she does so.

She starts to mutter something to herself as she pulls out a knife strapped to her leg as well as a key, but then pauses, looking at Giorno. "On a scale of one to ten, how well can you defend yourself?"

Meanwhile, that cannon fire is intercepted by tank shells as Iron Kingdom soldiers rush forward, carrying large rectangular shields while the sound of tank treads fill the air.

And in a large, sky piercing tower, a figure obscured by a green cloak and large green hat looks up from the book they were reading, closing it with an annoyed glare. "What is with all the noise?"

Speaking of Iron Kingdom soldiers, the ones that have bombs thrown at them take out the same kind of shields, which helps to negate some of the damage.

"After him!" And the soldiers run after Motors, firing at him with their rifles.

Well, it's not quite a bird. It's covered in blue feathers, has wings and talons, sure, but the torso and head are that of a man. Head's a feather covered skull, but that skull is distinctly human shaped, so it counts.

Still weak, though. Dies very quickly from that stab.

The woman nods, attempting to stand up. She is successful and is now leaning on her blade for support. "I have no idea where Ashwat is. Do you mind if I stick with you until I recover?" She asks headdress girl.

Dhar mutters something in Ajna's head. "So, what, we're just picking up mere people now?"

Some of the shots hit him in the pipes. Motors mutters as he simply continues to drive away. "Freaking humans... finally a complete being, and THIS is what happens!"

Visible in the desert-

Hey, is that a snake? That looks like some sort of serpent. With a giant column of water on its head.

And it's riding an ever-lasting tidal wave.

"you shut up" Headdress girl mutters under her breath as she looks to the side before looking back at the woman in front of her. "Sure, I don't mind! I'm Ajna, and I'm-"

There's a sudden flash of light that obscures everything from view, and the woman can feel a pulling sensation before the light clears, revealing that she is no longer in the ruins, but rather...some kind of floating island of earth in a blue space?

"AH! Again!?" The voice of Ajna sounds from...somewhere; it's hard to tell where.

Those humans continue to fire at Motors, despite the fact that their shots clearly aren't slowing him down that much.

What might, though, is the sudden patch of purple slime in the road.

"This has happened to you before?" The woman called out.

"Wait- SLIME! Uh oh, bad traction, bad traction!" Motors turns 180, bordering on the sludge, and drives back towards them. "EXCUSE ME COMING THROUGH SLIME OVER THERE"

"Yes," says the voice in Ajna's head before- a male who just got to his twenties, wearing black armor with golden rims, and on his hip a large, sheathed blade. "It has."

And below the Platform Ajna is standing on, somebody who seems to be either 19 or early twenties as well, stumbles out and falls to the ground, her brown paper of assorted foods (like bread, milk, some cheese, sandwich meats, choclate, vegetables) spilling on the floor. She's visibly pretty, with long orange hair and soft, brown eyes. For clothes, she's wearing a light lavender top, wearing a dandelion yellow dress under it.
"Alice?" Asks a voice. "Are you all right, Alice? Are you hurt?" the voice asks again, in a slightly more higher-pitched voice. "I'm fine, Alpha Hydranoid..." Alice Gehabich gets up to her knees. "But I don't think Grandfather will be happy to know his tomatoes have been crushed..." She moans, sadly looking at the splatter underneath the ham.
"That's the least of our worries, Alice!" The voice is coming from a small, mostly purple, creature made of metal, and most of its features seem to be curved, as if it rolls up into a ball. "This place is certainly not Moscow, and it makes me feel.. . odd."
"Odd?" Alice asks. "Are you okay, Hydranoid?"
"I am fine, Alice, but- this place! It feels similar to both my home of New Vestroia, and of Earth! It is almost like this place has something netiher of them have..."
"I hope we find out what that is." Alice slowly puts her hand in front of Hydranoid, followed by the Bakugan getting on, and then she moves him to her shoulder as she stands up. "I don't know if Dan or the others know we need help..."

Yoshimitsu manages to teleport...But not before the pig's belly collides with his head. Suffering a mild concussion Yoshimitsu shakily looks around dazed, and vomits in his mask. Yeeeeech x2. Trying to snap out of is confusion Yoshimitsu holds his blade out in front of him before slashing the air then bringing the sword back to his chest and slashing the air again and again. Every time the blade went outward from his chest it glowed green with a verdant glow. After the first two air slashes the slashing motion is much quicker then the slow awkward motions before.

This was quickly mending his own wounds the more he slashed at the air with the green glow of the blade becoming a gleam. Now even more enraged from the unfortunate throw up Yoshimitsu stops what he was doing and jumps high into the air, at least 8ft. The katana gleams with a new color other then green. Blue. Bright electric blue. This was the exact same colors that Soul Edge occasionally glared with. Obviously that was to be expected after the ancient blade itself was tainted by Soul Edge's power. Yoshimitsu's demonic sword is nowhere near the same level of evil as Soul Edge and infact doesn't even have a hunger for souls, although it certainly won't complain if its fed souls. As long as the wielder of the blade shares the same name of the blade, which is Yoshimitsu, it will be satisfied. Yoshimitsu kills people with Yoshimitsu hA.

Anyways...Yoshimitsu comes crashing down and slashes at the very same pig who crashed on his head. But instead of hitting the pig physically, it had been cut down spiritually. Floating infront of the pig warrior was bits and pieces of yellow floating things that looked semi-transparent. I don't have a degree in pig biology but I don't think a pig having its soul chopped up into bits is good for it.
