Weird Occurrences

(6f, it's all kind of just...leading up to the point of everyone meeting. You can start wherever your characters originally come from, if you like, or they can all just "coincidentally" be near each other.)

"I don't really know exactly what's going on," Wulfis admits to Mia, "but a friend of mine told me something like this would happen."

"There's something called Doom," he explains. "just Doom. Nothing else. No fancy title. It's exactly what it sounds like. Some kind of horde of gross, mannerless, hiveminded creatures who aim to corrupt and take over everything they see. I don't really know much past that, but, well, it's a start." He pauses. "Um, by the way, just a stupid question, but do you have anything on you right now that I could eat?"




Jack Frost comes face-to-face with one of those Doom creatures. Uglier and slimier up close. Gross. But you wouldn't say that to its face, because that would be instant death.



The portal reacts strangely to Rosalina attempting to close it. It flickers, warps...and splits into two.

Dialga steps back in horror. Palkia glares.

"I MAY HAVE AN IDEA," it growls. "BUT IT WILL REQUIRE YOUR POWER, DIALGA."

"INDEED?"

"YES." It turns to Rosalina. "WE ARE GOING TO SPATIAL RIFT. YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME WITH US, IF YOU WOULD LIKE."



The newborn Doom on Alternia are absolutely furious. They shriek and tussle as they fight to see who gets to eat and corrupt what. Unfortunately, one of them spots the two trolls, and the battling immediately ceases as five sets of four eyes fixate on them instead and gleam with interest and hunger.

Uh oh.



Thankfully, the portals near Nata and the others don't seem to be doing anything just yet. Just...forming. Maybe it'd be a good idea to get the hell out of there before bad things happen again.



Horror, Crystal and Plant's portal, however, is already beginning to darken with the presence of Doom.

Uh oh x2.

The one with the knife straightens his back, tapping into inner resolve. It's like a switch has flipped.
"On second thought, save the message for free time. We won't have time to fire it off."

Zekiel nods, taking out a hatchet- gleaming head and slightly chipped, but razor sharp- and a machete- well used and gently serrated, with a thick top edge to make its hacking swings cleave.

As the Doom creatures inch closer, one of them stops all of a sudden and hisses something to its companions. They all stop, one by one, eyes widening. They all turn inward and mutter ssssomething about grey sssskin.

Finally, they stop, and the biggest of them steps forward, toward the two. “...TROLLSSSS?” It cocks its head to the side. “ISSS THISSSS...PERHAPSSSS...ALTERNIA...?”

"Uhh. I mean I have some Bread, but that’s about it. It might taste weird, though, most of our food has a substance known as Ichor in it. I don’t know how it'll taste for you." Mia states.

Nata's character flaw is that he doesn’t retreat very often. Luckily, he’s not alone, and Levia tugging on his arm is enough to get him moving.

".............It is, and what of it."

The air feels tense. Like a drawn bow, ready to snap. Like a fraying tightrope.

Like one wrong move, and an arrow from hell itself flies.

One wrong move, and the only way is down.

“...WHERE IS WULFISSSS?” The biggest Doom creature takes another step forward.



Wulfis makes a face. “Well, it’ll do. But I’d prefer a tasty gemstone...”




The portals continue to spread. A foul stench like rotting meat fills the air as three more Doom creatures slip out and start to patrol the area.

Rosalina opened her eyes when Palkia addressed her, immediately noting that the portal had split in two.

"That was not what I intended to do... also, sure. Whatever will help solve this issue."

"Where is who now?"

The Doom creature glares. “SSSSO YOU PLAY SSSSTUPID WITH USSSS.” The rest erupt into vicious snarling. “WE’LL SHOW YOU NOT TO TAKE USSSS FOR FOOLSSSS!”

Like a swarm of big, seven-foot hornets, the Doom lunge forward to attack.



“VERY WELL THEN.” The twin gemstones on Palkia’s shoulders begin to glow brightly. With a flash, Rosalina, Polari, Dialga and Palkia all disappear.

They reappear in the remains of the Spacial Rift, catastrophically destroyed.

The man, instead of ducking low, jumps AT the enemy, jumping off them and seeming to float in the air.

"IF THE EMPRESS EVER DID ONE GOOD THING FOR HER CITIZENS IT'S THAT WE CAN EXPECT THE DRONES TO LEND SUPPORT VERY QUICKLY!!!"
Zeke grins, eyes showcasing some slight unhinged nature, and charges. Someone has to have reported this, it's too big and thunderous not to.

Plant and Horror stops in their tracks, and Horror starts to look at the portal curiously.

Crystal walks in front of the two, Shotgun in hand. This portal definitely isn’t the same as the ones they’ve been using, which has them suspicious.


Meanwhile, a stoney creature is wandering around in a dark and empty void, staring at the ground as they walk.

(Know what, I'm taking Vriska and Karkat and maybe also Tavros, because why in the hell not)

The drones indeed are helping, but something's off. They're not actually...doing anything. The Doom creatures and the drones just...stare at each other, like some kind of eternal standoff with no conflict whatsoever to escalate the situation. They just stare while the other remaining Doom creatures are busy eating everything they see. Which sucks. Um, what? The fuck?

That also means that those two trolls will have to deal with these particular goopy things themselves.

Meanwhile, elsewhere on Alternia, someone is getting some very urgent messages.

cG: THERE ARE WEIRD THINGS EVERYWHERE AND I AM KIND OF FUCKING STRESSED ABOUT IT
cG: I MEAN NOTHING WE CAN'T HANDLE BUT ALSO WULFIS IS GONE
cG: WHICH IS FUCKING SCARY
cG: WHO KNOWS WHERE THAT CRAZY FUCKER IS
aG: W8, Wulfis is gone????????
aG: OK, that's weird. And yeah, I already know about that weird portal.
cG: DID YOU SEE THE THINGS COMING OUT OF IT
cG: BECAUSE I THINK THAT IS MILDLY MORE FUCKING CONCERNING
aG: Yeah, yeah. I'm not stupid!!!!!!!!
aG: I'll get to it in a second or eight.
aG: Stop bothering me.

And so, Vriska Serket leaves her hive and looks.

Oh. Yeah. That's worse than what she saw from her window.

Well, time to hope and pray that Wulfis arrives before the whole planet gets eaten.



The portal squirms as if alive. Again. For, like, the millionth time. It's as gross as it was every other time. Really unnerving, in fact.

((Wait is Wulfis supposed to be important in this timeline))

"Oh, my..."

Rosalina gasped and put her free hand over her mouth.

"Back to the portal it is, ho!" Jack Frost turns away from the Doom creature and towards the portal.

(I guess so. But only in a few dimensions, and only to certain people. I don't know. Stop me if I make the roleplay unfun, Wulfis' character is a little absurdly Mary Sue-ish...)

Jack Frost is met by yet another ugly face of Doom. Yay. It's just as ugly as the other one. Yay.



"DIALGA." Palkia turns. "PERHAPS IF YOU USED YOUR ROAR OF TIME..."

Dialga nods. "HMM. IT COULD WORK..." It looks toward Rosalina. "HOWEVER, YOU MAY WANT TO COVER YOUR EARS..."

((I ask because I. May have done a Fuck Up and my OCs don't know Wulfis at all

(That's totally OK. Keep going with that! It's only certain people anyway and it'd be better for not many people to know him)

((Okay))

The two trolls remain still, one levitating in 0pace and the other poised for action.

Crystal says a couple of words to the other two. It’s not in english, or any easily translatable language really, and sounds more made-up than anything, but they seem to understand it and back away from the portal a few steps. She walks closer to the portal.

The Doom strikes. Not hard, because, well, you can't when your body's half-formed and still sort of gooey. The acid they're spitting is a little more dangerous, though.



The portal writhes. Again. And once more, four eyes flash and all of a sudden a new Doom creature is standing before Crystal. Snarling. Angry.

Jack Frost is incredibly tempted to say something about just how ugly the Doom is, but he manages to hold his tongue and keep his mouth shut. He's beginning to wonder if he's going to have to fight, and glances around to see if other demons are getting surrounded as well, and what they're doing.

Crystal takes a step away from it, though not quite ready to shoot it. Despite all the signs that it’s not friendly at all, she seems to be giving it a chance.

Luckily, Plant doesn’t agree with her.

They fire an arrow from their heavy crossbow, snarling at it.


The stone creature suddenly stops. They look around them for a bit, before raising their hands up into the air. Then, right above them, a void-like portal would form. It drops a map into the creature’s hands before disappearing into nothingness.

The levitating one outstretched his empty hand. The attacking creature may find itself being pulled partly.

Zeke goes in for a slash with the machete.

"Yeah, sorry I don’t have any of those." Mia shrugged, pulling out some bread from a pocket and-aww it’s in a cute ziplock bag.
