Weird Occurrences

Meanwhile, in a city in the sky, someone else is attempting to find out just what is going on with the blips and all that. Sitting in an office building, the angel of death in dialing numbers into a telephone. In fact, they’ve been doing so for quite a while now, but to no avail.

“He’s not picking up. Surely, it must not be anything too urgent if he’s not responding, but what could be causing those weird... blips?” The reaper ponders for a bit, before turning towards the window and opening the blinds, looking down towards a lone island that seems to be surrounded by nothing but water for miles. “Maybe, just maybe the problem lies down there... I don’t really have many options.”

And so he did. Making more weird gestures with his hands. Waving them like a sculptor would move his hands to sculpt a figure from clay. The portal fizzes, the Doom inside it all chitter with fear, and all of a sudden it just...closes. In just a second. The remaining Doom on the ground all stare up at the empty, normal Alternian sky with wide eyes.

"Huh. Didn't know I could do that." Wulfis blinks in surprise.

Vriska isn't comforted. "Well! Gr8! One thing solved! A whole lot more to go!!!!!!!!"

The anonymous troll gulps.

"Well. That seems rather bad for all involved parties."

Indeed it is, because the entire fucking planet of Alternia begins to flicker with weird colours for a second, and then stops again. And then the ground shakes, like, a whole ton.

Vriska falls over. Wulfis doesn’t. He just looks way too nonchalant.

The Doom look a lot more frightened now. Naturally. Even if they’re seven-foot snakes formed of pure rot, something of this scale would be pretty frightening, to say the least.

From within the hive of Karkat Vantas, there’s an ungodly shriek and sounds of a lot of things breaking to bits. He stomps out into the open to figure out what’s going on and promptly goes back inside at the sight of the remaining Doom that surround his house. They take no notice of him.



Back on Earth, tremors wrack the planet like some stupid parallel whatever. Fluffy helplessly faceplants, his heavy animatronic body no match for his balance.

The two trolls share another glance, and bolt towards the city. One of them fires off another message to "Telkin".

Mia stumbles a bit, but is able to keep her balance as the Earth shakes.

"We can’t keep running forever!" Levia speaks up. "We could run into another Closers unit and we aren’t prepared for that yet!"

Harpy nodded, grimly.

The biggest of the Doom cautiously follows toward the city.

“Hooold on a sec. I might be able to fix all o’ this.” Wulfis snaps his...claws? Toes? Beans? Whatever the things on the end of his paws are. Fingers, maybe...?

Whatever it is, it shakes shit up a whole ton. As in, the portals shimmer and fade and leave already frightened Doom even more confused in every universe they’re currently stuck in. Oh yeah, and now everything is pitch black and absolutely entirely unseeable except for our current heroes and villains and other such characters. Everywhere. All universes. All planets. Aaaaaawesome. What the hell, how is this a solution?!

“There.” Wulfis seems pleased with himself. Vriska doesn’t share his views, at all. She lets out a frustrated growl and throws her hands up, exasperated.

“I officially give up!” She flops down on the beach sand.



Dialga and Palkia are even more confused.

“WHAT IN THE...?”

“THE WORLD IS...?”



The worst is yet to come.

Levia is now freaking out.  Nata and Harpy are both trying to comfort her.

Mia turns toward Wulfis.  "What the hell did you do?!"

Watching the world go from snow white to pitch black definitely... shocks the mutants, to put it lightly.

So, Horror is now screaming into the sky. Crystal’s trying their best to calm them down, but it’s kinda hard for her to do that when she’s also panicking. At least she’s not showing it.


As for the reaper, watching a vibrant island and lit sky become... well, not lit is certainly concerning. “...Okay, so maybe it is really bad.”


As for the stone creature, the darkness actually catches their attention. They quickly roll up their map, given how it’s hard to navigate a place you can’t see anything in, and just... stands there. Silently.

They aren’t actually too frightened by the sudden darkness considering that it’s already really dark where they are, but it would be nice to actually see the floor.

“Dunno.” Wulfis looks totally unconcerned. “I don’t think it was me who caused all this pitch-blackness. I just got rid of those portals around the place.”

Vriska pulls her jacket over her head.

Yet again, more splintering and shattering occurs within the hive of Karkat Vantas, because it’s kind of hard to see the stuff in your room when literally everything is the same dark colour. When he finds his husktop, and if it even works properly, whoever answers him on Trollian will be subject to a lot of fresh Vantas-style freakout material.



The Doom in every place start to call out to one another and find each other, huddling together. It would be sweet, if they weren’t totally invasive and kind of evil.



Fluffy squeaks. “I think we have things to sort out first!!! ALL of this is bad!!”

"OH GODS WE'RE BLINDED!!! WHERE THE BLOODY FUCK IS SHE- WE SHOULD HAVE TRAVERSED THIS WAY MORE---"

And in Ireland, the boy is having a panic attack.

Levia, Nata, and Harpy are practically clinging to each other.

Mia facepalms. Great, fantastic.

Crystal has managed to calm down Horror just a bit. Not by a lot, but enough to stop them from screaming.

Now Horror is resorting to whimpering.


The stone creature that is Apollyon is now making an attempt to traverse in the dark. Highly dangerous for their area, darkness or not, but it beats standing there silently waiting for something to happen.
