Weird Occurrences

(Both accepted. Adding the characters now.)

Across the expanse of space, in a different, futuristic Earth, an assassain sits, surrounded by Archons. He regards them with little emotion.

“Azrail!” The Demiurge calls to him. “Don’t you dare try to leave this planet!”

Azrail stares. And thinks. And says nothing.

Finally, he speaks, calm and blunt.

“I don’t have to listen to you.”

And with that, the Dog Assassin of Free Will blasts off into space in his escape ship.

Directly towards Earth.

Nearby to said ink demon, an old animatronic dragon is staring up at the sky. He wanders in circles, looking worried and muttering to himself. You know, like a normal animatronic dragon.

It’s hard to hear what he’s saying, but he mumbles something like “Wulfis” and “portals”. Huh.

The boy frowns at the rumbling. He leans into a small device...
"Butler, please investigate that."

As soon as the weird multiversal glitch happens, the young woman sitting in the broken world stood up, gripping her bayonet.  "Okay Mia, that was a very quick odd thing.  It couldn’t be a horror, the mists keep them from entering."  She opted to look around for anything that might be amiss.

Back with the trio, the first one to notice was Levia, the one most attuned to other worlds.  "Something has happened."  

"What?  Is it YOD?  He shouldn’t be able to breach this dimension again, not yet."  Nata asked, more alert then ever.  YOD was something everyone feared.  It had taken their entire team to force it back into its own domain and it had barely expended any of it's energy.  

Levia shook her head.  "No, it’s not like that.  It was like...a blip in the universe."  

Harpy raised an eyebrow.  "What does that even mean?"  

Levia looked at the ground and mumbled.  "I don’t know. But I know where it’s localizing." She said, holding her staff determinedly.

The ground underneath the dark purple portal starts to...waver. And break. And float. All while making a similar rumbling sound as before.

It just gets weirder and weirder by the second.

The third portal materialises next to Mia, although it floats above her standing height. It’s a similar light pink and emits a low hum. Redness glares from its centre like the eyes of something evil.

Uh oh.

The dragon grunts in annoyance. “Fluffy. You can thank my creator for giving me such a stupid name.” He says nothing else, staring up, still rambling to himself. Now she’s closer, Cerena can hear more of what he’s saying.
“It’s all Wulfis’ doing, I bet,” he grumbles, “that idiot never stops causing problems for everyone.”

Fluffy jumps a little, as if he hadn’t realised he was talking aloud.

“Um...uh, w-wuh...” he squeaks, stumbling over his own words. He straightens out a little and looks Cerena in the eye for the first time.

“Wulfis...is a criminal across all dimensions. Well, most of them, I think...maybe not so much on Alternia. He’s known for causing a lot of trouble.”

He looks up at a new portal, forming a little way up in the sky. He points to it. “This kind of thing looks like something he’d make.” He shudders. “Who knows what could happen.”

“First person you’ve met...? What, like, ever? Or just here on whatever version of Earth this is?” Fluffy grimaces and shakes his head. “Nevermind. That’s a real difficult concept to understand.”

A sound like crashing thunder startles him and draws his eyes back to the portal.

“Uh oh,” he says, for the second time.

"Very well, then."

Rosalina set the yellow Luma on the ground, then stepped away from the two space-time dragons, holding her wand straight up in the air. Then she brought it swiftly down as she whispered the name Polari.

A second later, a dark brown Luma with baby-blue eyes appeared in a poof of smoke on Rosalina's left.

“GREETINGS,” welcomed Dialga.

“GREETINGS,” Palkia repeated.

“YOUR FRIEND HERE TELLS US YOU MIGHT KNOW A THING OR TWO ABOUT THIS PORTAL.” Dialga gestures with its tail toward the glowing pink fracture.



And, at exactly the wrong time, another omnipresent blip. It’s longer, only by a little, and leaves a sense of impending doom.

Something thrashes violently within the portals.

Fluffy startles at the blip. “What the hell is even happening?! This doesn’t seem so much like Wulfis anymore.” He shudders.

"Greetings to you as well-"

The Luma abruptly stopped speaking as the blip occurred.

"Hm. That's an issue."

It then began to hover closer to the portal, with Rosalina following close behind.

"My name is Polari, but I'm sure Rosalina's introduced me by now."

“INDEED SHE HAS.” Dialga steadies itself, otherwise ignoring the strange glitch. “WHAT DO YOU GATHER SO FAR ABOUT THIS STRANGE OCCURRENCE?”

Palkia looks paler than usual.

“I...NEED TO CHECK SOMETHING,” it interrupts, in an unusually weak tone. “SPACIAL RIFT.” It disappears in a flash.

“PALKIA...?” Dialga stares at the emptiness Palkia had left behind.

“YOU WILL HAVE TO EXCUSE PALKIA,” Dialga says, after a pause. “I AM NOT SURE WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THEM RIGHT NOW.” It makes a thoughtful sound. “I SUPPOSE TODAY IS SIMPLY A DAY FOR STRANGE HAPPENINGS.”

Fluffy looks at Cerena, warily. “Do you have any clue about what’s going on?”

“HMM.” Dialga nods. “THAT WOULD MAKE SENSE.”

The portal, as if on cue, wavers and flickers violently. A sharp feeling, like gripping claws, strikes at those nearby. Dialga flinches. “WHAT IN ARCEUS’ NAME...?”

“That’s a shame.” Fluffy visibly relaxes. “You really don’t know anything about this?”

“Huh.” Fluffy shrugs. “Well. Looks like you and I might have to investigate all of this.”
